Based in Bordon, Hampshire Fern-Howard was formed in 1972 as a supplier of electrical assemblies to the lighting industry. Since then we have become a market leading manufacturer of energy efficient lighting, originally based on the 2D low energy lamp.

Although energy efficiency remains key to our products, a wider range of compact fluorescent lamps are now utilised.

The Fern-Howard range has developed rapidly over the years, progressing from functional, tough utlility bulkheads to include stylish luminaires, epitomised in the new Yeoman range which was recently launched.

Technical expertise has always been at the forefront of our development and we pride ourselves on working in conjunction with leaders in lamp and control gear technology.

Utilising traditional switch start circuitry at the outset, our luminaires are now available with High Frequency, Combined Emergency High Frequency, AutoTest Emergency, Dimmable and Addressable control gear options.

Investment is continually made in product development and manufacturing automation, with a high degree of importance placed on innovative ways to ease installation. The Time-in-a-Box concept is one such example.
